Christmas at the Webb!
Last night I got to go to two Christmas events! I always love Christmas time around campus because there is always some Christmas party to go to or event to attend. Last night we had our Christmas party for the admissions office and we all got to eat together and just have a great time. We even got some fun t-shirts as gifts! After the Christmas party I went over to Dover theater for our annual Festival of Lights. This is where our choirs put on their Christmas concert and then there is a reception afterwards for everyone. The Christmas tree on campus is also lit and it's just a great time for everyone!

Excited About the Weekend!
I'm pretty excited about this weekend because I get to go on a Focus trip with one of my friend's Focus teams. The trip is actually to my church, so I'll already know everyone there, but it's still going to be fun! Focus is a ministry we have on campus that has about 11 different groups of around 10 people each. The group goes out to churches on the weekends and hangs out/leads the youth groups. It's always really fun to get to go on the trips because it's a great time to bond with your friends as well as get to hang out with the youth group!

My Final Project
This week I am working on my final photojournalism project. It has been pretty stressful but fun at the same time. I am doing my project on a man that I know who makes model airplanes and flys them. It's been pretty interesting and I've learned a lot about model airplanes actually. We have to have 10 prints of the photos and also put together a picture slideshow of the pictures. I have to start getting all my stuff together to start working on it because it's due the day we get back from Thanksgiving break. I sure will be glad when I complete this and all my other projects that I have due. Everything always gets pretty crazy here at the end of the semester, but it just means that Christmas is right around the corner!

Winding Down
Everything is starting to wind down here lately. I've been trying to juggle everything that I have due in the next few weeks of school. We only have three full weeks of class left. I can't believe this semester has flown by so fast! This is the time of year when most people start stressing a little and realizing how much work they have left to do!
Even though we have a lot going on in our school lives, we still make time to go hang out with friends and go to campus events. Tonight we're having a concert, and Shawn McDonald is going to be here. I'm pretty excited because I really like his music. I can't wait to go, I'm sure I'll have a great time!

My Birthday!
Tomorrow night some more friends and I are going down to Greenville, SC. That's one of my favorite places to go when I'm here at school.
We're going to go down there after the football game. We'll probably go eat and then go hang out downtown. I'm pretty excited about it. I love going there and hanging out with friends!

Homecoming Weekend!
We were supposed to have the powderpuff game on Friday night but it got rained out. We were all pretty upset. But the game was postponed to Monday, so we weren't that bummed out! On Saturday the skies cleared of rain and it was a beautiful day for some football! I got to take pictures again so that was pretty exciting. I also got to take pictures during the crowning of the homecoming queen who just happened to be one of my really close friends! It was such a fun day and we all had a great time.

Homecoming Week!
It's homecoming week here at GW! It's always a really fun time of the year around here. It's starting to get cold finally so everyone is in the fall spirit! This past weekend we had a football game here and we won 47-21! It was a lot of fun. I actually got to go down on the field and take pictures of the game for the first time! I enjoyed it. There was a major difference being down there close to the action versus being up in the crowd. On Sunday we started our practices for the annual Powderpuff Game that is going to be on Friday night. I'm so excited about it! I always played in high school, and I never thought I'd get to play again but now I am getting to! The practices have been fun with all my friends and we all love just hanging out and being crazy together. But at the same time, we're taking it pretty serious, because we definitely want to win! I'm ready for the weekend to get here as soon as possible so all the fun can begin!

Fall Break Fun!
and shopped and ate supper. I left Atlanta on Sunday and came home and just relaxed for a few days then headed back to school. The semester is certainly going by fast, which is exciting, but sad at the same time!

Family Weekend
This past weekend was really fun here at Gardner-Webb. It was family weekend! We also had Dawg Days on Saturday and I got to take pictures of everyone with our mascot and then I gave a tour and was on Student Panel. I like going to Dawg Days and meeting the prospective students. It's always nice to see new faces around here!
I always enjoy my dad coming and I know everyone else loves seeing their family as well. It seems like our families just dropped us off yesterday on move in day, and it's already almost October! On Saturday night we got to eat bar-b-que and chicken with our families before the football game and then everyone headed to the game! I usually sit in the Dawg Pound (the student section) at the game but this time I sat with my dad and my friend and her parents. It was a nice change and a different view for sure! When you sit in the Dawg Pound you're right in the action down in the front! But I ended up sitting up higher in the stands. It wasn't as loud, that was for sure!

The Start of Another Week
Well it's now the middle of the week, and I'm glad that this week has gone by pretty fast. This past weekend I got to go home and hang out with some friends and family. On Sunday my church had a carnival that I went to and took pictures of for one of my classes. I had a good time at the carnival. I came back to campus Sunday night and had to do a lot of homework. These past few days I've had a lot of work to do, but it's not been too bad. Last night we had our student led worship service and one of the students here gave their testimony. It was a really good service and we got to have it outside. It was nice to be outside on a cool fall night. I always love going to the service and hanging out with friends.

Hanging Out
This week has been a hectic one to say the least. I had a test on Monday, a paper due on Wednesday, and then I got more assignments in classes that are due next week. But even though school work may be hard, there's always time to relax and hang out with friends at night.
Wednesday evening a bunch of us hung out on the quad because it was such a nice evening. It was a good little break time! One of the things I love about Gardner-Webb and living on campus is the community in the dorms. Last night I was sitting in my room with another friend and within an hour's time 5 more people showed up to just hang out!
It's always so fun, and I know that is one thing I will definitely miss when I graduate. I'm going home this weekend because I haven't gone home all semester and I'm looking forward to being with family and friends from home.

Plans for the week
Well it's the start of another week here at the Webb and it seems like time is flying by so quickly! I can't believe it is already the middle of September. I feel like I just moved in back in August. This past weekend was pretty fun. The band GRITS came and played in Bost Gym on Saturday night. I got to take pictures for the event and I had a great time! They were really good and it was a pretty fun little concert.
But now, it's back to school work and boy do I have the school work! I have a paper that's due tomorrow, but I still hope to make time to go to the Verge tonight, which is our student led worship service. I always enjoy going to the Verge to see my friends and worship with everyone! It's always a great way to take a little break.

Time to relax
The week has finally come to an end and I'm pretty happy about that! I always look forward to the weekends because it's a good time to just sit back and relax. Even though this weekend I do have quite a bit of work to do. Today we have inflatables and ice cream in the LYCC! I'm looking forward to that. Tomorrow night we have a concert here on campus. GRITS is coming! I'm pretty excited about it. I'll be sure and write about those events next week and put some pictures up! So until then, I'll be enjoying my weekend with no classes and just getting to hang out with friends!
Last Weekend
This past weekend was a lot of fun here at Gardner-Webb University. On
Friday night there was a movie on the quad and a bunch of people went
out to hang out and watch the movie. Everyone sat on their blankets
and some even brought beanbag chairs to sit on and watch the movie.
Everybody had a great time. On Saturday we had our first home football
game! The football games are always really exciting and everyone loves
coming out to support our Runnin Bulldogs! We won too, so it made
it even more fun! There were a lot of people at the game, it almost
seemed like it was Family weekend or homecoming with the amount of
people that were at the game. The weekends are always fun when we have
activities going on around campus and they give us a great break from
our school work!
