Excited About the Weekend!

I'm pretty excited about this weekend because I get to go on a Focus trip with one of my friend's Focus teams. The trip is actually to my church, so I'll already know everyone there, but it's still going to be fun! Focus is a ministry we have on campus that has about 11 different groups of around 10 people each. The group goes out to churches on the weekends and hangs out/leads the youth groups. It's always really fun to get to go on the trips because it's a great time to bond with your friends as well as get to hang out with the youth group!

My Final Project

This week I am working on my final photojournalism project. It has been pretty stressful but fun at the same time. I am doing my project on a man that I know who makes model airplanes and flys them. It's been pretty interesting and I've learned a lot about model airplanes actually. We have to have 10 prints of the photos and also put together a picture slideshow of the pictures. I have to start getting all my stuff together to start working on it because it's due the day we get back from Thanksgiving break. I sure will be glad when I complete this and all my other projects that I have due. Everything always gets pretty crazy here at the end of the semester, but it just means that Christmas is right around the corner!

Winding Down

Everything is starting to wind down here lately. I've been trying to juggle everything that I have due in the next few weeks of school. We only have three full weeks of class left. I can't believe this semester has flown by so fast! This is the time of year when most people start stressing a little and realizing how much work they have left to do!

Even though we have a lot going on in our school lives, we still make time to go hang out with friends and go to campus events. Tonight we're having a concert, and Shawn McDonald is going to be here. I'm pretty excited because I really like his music. I can't wait to go, I'm sure I'll have a great time!

My Birthday!

My Birthday was this week and it was pretty fun. My dad came down to go eat with some of my friends and I at Fatz. After we went out to eat we all came back to the dorm and had cake! It was really good! My favorite kind of cake is chocolate, and that's what my dad got me!
Tomorrow night some more friends and I are going down to Greenville, SC. That's one of my favorite places to go when I'm here at school.
We're going to go down there after the football game. We'll probably go eat and then go hang out downtown. I'm pretty excited about it. I love going there and hanging out with friends!

Fun in the Fall!

I love fall here at Gardner-Webb. It's always so beautiful around here. Fall to me means getting to see the beautiful trees around here, going to outdoor intramural games, football games, cool weather, and just hanging out with all my friends. Yesterday I went to an intramural soccer championship game and saw some of my friends play. They ended up winning so it was pretty exciting! This week has also been pretty special to me because it was my birthday yesterday! My friends surprised me by decorating my room pretty crazy and putting funny pictures of us up all over the room. It was a nice little gift from them. Although this week has been fun, I am ready for the weekend. We have our last home football game. It's going to be kind of a bittersweet time. I'm sure a lot of people will come out to the game and we'll all have a great time supporting our Bulldogs!

Powderpuff Champs!

So this week we had our annual Powder Puff game. It's always a ton of fun and a lot of people come out to watch and hang out. The teams are North Side vs. South Side. The North Side is the North side of campus, which consists of girls that live in the Honors house, apartments, Stroup, HAPY, and Nanny. The South Side team was Spangler, Myers, Decker, and Commuter students. I had such a great time at the game. I was on the offensive line for North Side and played left tackle. We ended up winning the game 27-0! So pretty much we showed them who was boss! South side won last year so we had to get back our bragging rights! It was so much fun, but it was sad too because it was the last game that us as Seniors will get to play. But we're glad we went out with a bang!
